My name is Joey and in honor of my Bar Mitzvah I’ve decided to raise money for the children at Bet Elazraki Children’s Home in Netanya. I chose to donate money to Bet Elazraki because I want to help people who are less fortunate.
Bet Elazraki in Netanya is a safe and loving home to hundreds of at-risk children ages 6-18. These children were removed from dysfunctional, and often life-threatening, family situations. It is Bet Elazraki's mission to embrace and nurture each and every child, to break the cycle of distress, and help each child reach his/her full potential. At Bet Elazraki, children heal and begin to thrive as the devoted staff helps them shed their pain, cope with their trauma, and bridge gaps to allow them to fulfill their potential. For children brought to their doorstep, Bet Elazraki is a home for life. It is not a short-term crises facility-it is their home and their family.
I am raising money to buy new sports/gym equipment for the children. I enjoy playing sports with my friends, family, and little league teammates and I understand how healthy and fun it is to play sports. I wanted to share the fun with the children at Bet Elazraki. I really want the children to be fit and healthy so they can live full lives and live up to their potential.
My family and I visited Bet Elazraki this past summer. The children performed for us, we ate dinner with them, and then played soccer with a soccer ball bought with money raised through my bar mitzvah project. I enjoyed speaking with some of the children and getting to know them. It was a lot of fun and it made me so happy to see how much they enjoyed using the new sports equipment. It made me want to help raise more money to help these children and others at Bet Elazraki.
Any help you can provide would be greatly appreciated.
