Every day I have the opportunity to make a difference in the lives of children who don't always have a positive person to look up to or even talk to. It's a very rewarding experience to get to be a part of their lives and help them develop in to caring and responsible individuals. Many people think of Hempstead as "a place that is on the news where bad things happen" But it doesn't have to be that way. The club is a Home away from Home for its members, where they get help with their Homework, learn life lessons, make friends and get what is often the first meal they have eaten all day. These are the kids that have said "not me", that have not turned to the streets, or to drugs, gangs or violence. These are the kids that recognize they have a choice in their future but they have to work hard. They have decided to be a part of something bigger and be a support system for each other.

This is where you come in. We need your help to make sure that these kids get to continue on their path to a GREAT future.

If you have ever had a bad day and there was some there to cheer you up.

If you have ever had a problem and there was someone there to help you through it.

If you have ever had a blast with your friends playing games and laughing...

Then you understand how important the club is.
