Stripe fee structure
Stripe's standard fees are 2.9% + $0.30 per donation. Under this beta program, US registered Non Profits can apply for the following rate structure:
- 2.2% + $0.30 per non-American Express transaction
- 3.5% flat per American Express transaction
Applying for discounted Stripe fees
After registering your cause with Root Funding, simply email the following documentation to Stripe at nonprofit@stripe.com with a request for the preferential non profit pricing:
- EIN (employer identification number)
- A letter stating your 501c3 status (can be an IRS letter)
- Email address for your Stripe Account
Stripe applies this pricing once a week, so be patient if you don't hear back right away.
