- After we receive your hair we will send a certificate of acknowledgement by email, please reply with your t-shirt size.

Go above and beyond - adopt a ponytail

We can not create wigs and give them free of charge without funding. We have nearly 30,000 ponytails in our inventory that came without any funding. For every increment of $125 over your goal you will help us create more wigs, and unltimately help more people.

FAQ's

My hair is dyed is that ok?

Yes! Single process and natural hair colors are ok.

Hair We Share does not have a partner salon in my area, must I  use a Hair We Share partner salon?

No. You can use any professional salon. Ask them to follow the cutting instructions on our webaite at www.hairweshare.org/donate-to-hair-we-share

Does ponytail tracking mean I get to meet/see the person who got my hair?

We will send you a photo of the wig made from your hair. Our number one priority is the well being of our wig recipients. Most of them chose to remain annonymous. Occasionaly a recipient will allow us to use their photo, but it is not likely. .The purpose of this program is to cover our manufacturing expenses so that we can gift your hair free of charge to another person.

Can I give my hair to a specific person?

The short answer is yes, it is possible. However, it is not easy for us to do this. If you have a loved one you would ike to gift your hair to they must first be approved through our application process on our website. Once they are approved it can take over 6 months for us to complete the wig. If it is someone undergoing chemotherapy it is often too long of a wait time. If it is someone who has permanant hair loss, they may not mind the wait. We want the person receiving the wig to be able to use it...your hair needs to be a match, it needs to be the same color, texture and atleasy 2" longer than the desired wig length.
