Keeping Sarah\'s a\"h Dream Alive
December 20, 1996 - October 3, 2010
October 3, 2010 we all suffered the loss of a young woman with a heart of gold, Sarah Paige Erdan a”h. Sarah’s untimely passing, due to an unfortunate car accident, at the age of 13, left all who knew her with a void that cannot be replaced.
Our wish is to keep her memory alive and to continue her dream to follow in her mothers footsteps and create a safe haven for any child, teen or adult who may need it. Sarah a”h played a vital role in not only welcoming others into her home with open arms, but also embracing each person with warmth, as she understood the impact a warm smile can make on a person. She provided a smile that lit up even the darkest hours.
It has always been a dream of Sarah’s a”h to open a safe haven for troubled teens. It is for this reason that we have established the Sarah Erdan Foundation LLC. Its purpose is to assist the Erdan family carry out Sarah’s a”h dream by continuing to help others for years to come.
“This is not just a home to Pamela and her children, it is a place which has housed hundreds of children throughout the years. Children who were at risk and would’ve been in the streets if not for her kindness. It is a home in which her daughter, Sarah a”h, wanted to continue her mothers work and provide a place where teens could go to talk to someone even though they didn’t have money or insurance. This is a place where someone is always there to lend a helping hand to someone in need, to provide a meal to a hungry child. Pamela and her family saw the good in each person who walked through the doors. They learned the value and importance of each Neshama (soul) and worked hard to bring families back together, when all others thought all hope was lost.”
Currently the home of the foundation is the same home where Sarah a”h grew up, and it is with great sorrow that the family might have to move from their home due to finances. Everyone in their community knows where the Erdan home is and it would be a shame if people who need help have nowhere to turn. For the sake of Sarah’s dream and for the sake of the community we must do everything we can to help save their home; the base of the foundation.
*Please note that over the many years, despite their own financial circumstances, the Erdan home has always been open to all in need. Now it’s our turn to help. Saving the home will save our children.
This foundation is extremely important to me, and I am passionate about raising money on the foundations behalf and in my cousin Sarah\'s a\"h memory.
