I first heard about Camp Koby at Ramah Day Camp in Nyack a couple of years ago.  We were discussing different organizations that we could collect money for in our tzedakah boxes.  When my counselors finished speaking about Camp Koby I instantly knew which organization I was going to support.  From that moment, I began collecting money for Camp Koby at Family Chanukah and Thanksgiving Celebrations and Minyan at my Shul where I talked about the program.  It was also great to meet Moshe Aron, Projects Director for The Koby Mandell Foundation, who came to our house while he was in town and gave us important information on the programs provided by the Foundation.

Koby Mandell was only thirteen years old when he was brutally murdered by terrorists.  His parents put together a special camp for people who have been terrorized in Israel.  All the kids at the camp participate in activities like kayaking, swimming and extreme sports therapy to help them heal and be with other kids who have shared similar experiences.
