Becoming a Bar/Bat Mitzvah is an important milestone -- you become part of a centuries-old tradition of joining a community committed to Tikkun Olam, repairing the world.

For children with serious illness, life offers many unfair tradeoffs; instead of playing outside, they go to the doctor; instead of sleepovers they are in a hospital for treatments and recovery; and instead of hanging out with friends, they are taking medicine that can make them sick.

But every child, regardless of religion, ethnicity, or socioeconomic status, deserves to experience the joys of childhood!  Jordan River VIllage is the place in Israel where sick children can forget about being sick and enjoy just being a kid in a medically safe environment.

On your special day, learn, support, and teach others about giving sick children the opportunity to celebrate life and just be kids.
