Dear Family and Friends, As you all know, this past June my beloved father, Josh Miller z"l, lost his valiant battle with ALS. As a tribute to my father who was an incredible Ba’al Chessed, and to all others afflicted with this terrible disease, I have decided to dedicate my run to a friend going through a very similar difficult time. 

On March 18th, I will IY”H be running in the Jerusalem Marathon 10k in support of Devorah Schochet, my good friend Hindy Ginsberg's sister.

Having watched their mother, Miriam Cooper, suffer through and ultimately succumb to ALS eight and a half years ago, on February 13, 2013, Devorah received the devastating diagnosis that she too has ALS, and was given 2-4 years to live. Devorah is 41 years old and a mother to four children, ages 8 through 19.     Shirat Devorah is an organization founded shortly after Devorah’s diagnosis, to provide much needed support to Devorah and her family. Over these past few difficult years, funds raised through Shirat Devorah provided Devorah with vital medical care and equipment, and were used to rebuild her home (which had been destroyed during Hurricane Sandy), in the process making it fully handicapped accessible. Today, as Devorah’s condition continues to worsen, funds raised provide additional financial support for her family, which dedicates much of their energy to her full-time care. Additionally, all funds raised beyond those needed by Devorah and her family are re-distributed to help others suffering from the devastation caused by ALS.     Please give generously and support Devorah's family and others as they bravely battle ALS!
