Established in 1894, Herzog Hospital is Israel’s foremost center for geriatric, respiratory, mental health and psychotrauma care, treatment and research. With 330 beds, it is the

third largest hospital in Jerusalem. A Children’s Chronic Respiratory Care Department treats children ranging in age from 3 months to 21 years. As the largest Chronic

Respiratory Care Department for adults and children in Israel, we are being turned to for our capacity, experience and expertise in the field. We currently have 186 patients on respirators. Herzog’s Israel Center for the Treatment of Psychotrauma treats children and adult victims of terror attacks, war, domestic violence and other causes of trauma and provides training in Israel and internationally. The Community Mental Health Center treats 2000 men, women and children each month on an outpatient basis. The Hospital’s Clinical  Research Center for Brain Sciences concentrates on Neurodegenerative Diseases with a special emphasis on Parkinson’s Disease, schizophrenia, and other brain disorders and related diseases. Due to the dramatic growth of Herzog Hospital, a new pavilion has been constructed that is adding 270 much needed beds.
