In the heart of Peru, there’s a small group of incredible young people who are defying the odds in life. They are the youth of Niños del Sol, a children’s home that has grown into a beacon of hope and transformation in the Sacred Valley.

Society tells us that these Peruvian orphans should expect nothing more from life than hand-me-down clothes and a cot to sleep in. But at Niños del Sol, we believe in something different.

We’re raising them as a family, offering them a bright, comfortable home, a quality education with music, yoga, and language instruction and lots of love. We also provide a second, semi-independent home where they can stay beyond their 18th birthday while they pursue a college education and launch a career.

Our results speak for themselves. As they grow up, most of our kids are graduating from college, and going into adulthood as professionals. They’re breaking the cycles of poverty and abuse in their families forever.

In just two short years — March of 2025 — our youngest kids will be in college and our work will be done. But we can't get to that finish line without your help.

Our income is way down since the pandemic. Right now we’re struggling to provide even the basics for the younger children.

We don’t receive any government funding or grants. Everything we’ve done has been funded by ordinary people just like you, most of them giving only $25 a month.
