Yitzy Gliksberg was the co founder of an organization dedicated to bringing joy to the lives of sick children and their families. Yitzy lived his life for the sake of making others happy and nothing brought him more joy than bringing a smile to the face of one who has long forgotten how to smile.
Unfortunately, Yitzy got sick and suffered immensely before his tragic passing at the age of 30, after more than three years of illness. Even when he was so, so ill, he didn’t tire from his mission of making others happy.
We are embarking on a project in Yitzy’s memory, a project that was his dream when he was alive and will be his legacy now that he is gone.
We are raising funds to create a state-of-the-art mobile entertainment and education unit to bring joy and laughter to children who are too sick to leave their homes. The mobile room will be stocked with games, activities, projects, and more, all designed to keep patients gainfully occupied for hours.
We can only picture Yitzy’s face aglow with satisfaction as he watches the children revel in the chance to participate in normal activities, like every other child their age. We know that Yitzy would have stopped at nothing to get this project off the ground and therefore we feel we owe it to his memory to make it happen.
By partnering with us in this unique project, you will accomplish the twofold mission of bringing joy to the lives of sick children all over and honoring the legacy of a man with a heart broad enough to encompass all of the sick and ailing.
