Livnot U’Lehibanot (Hebrew for “To Build and Be Built”) offers an intense, integrated Israel experience of volunteering, hiking, and community building that allows participants to explore themselves and connections to their Jewish roots. With over 6,000 since 1980, Livnot has been providing Israel programs for young Jewish adults ages 21 to 30 and enhancing Israel and Diaspora communities.

Livnot programs range in length from one to four weeks, and place an emphasis on experiential activities throughout the program which allow participants to explore, in a personal, open and honest  way, the wide variety of options available within Judaism and in Israel. Livnot is based in the mystical city of Tzfat, the center of Kabbalah.

Livnot Israel program participants build a Jewish community of their own and connect  to the larger global Jewish community. Each program facilitates an exploration of Israel and Jewish heritage through the medium of fascinating seminars, challenging hikes and rewarding community service projects, providing a strong base of Jewish involvement upon return to their home communities.
